I still remember my friend Brady Howell

Eight years ago I lost a friend at the Pentagon. He and I met at Ricks (Now BYU-I). I helped introduce him to his wife, Liz. It is hard to think back on those times and those places. We were all so very young back then. And now he will never grow old. I can't help but think of what life and the world would have been like with him still in it. He held in his hands great promise and great opportunity. It is only because of my personal knowledge of the life eternal and Gods Plan for all of us that I do not sink into despair and grief at the absence of my friend. I do no doubt nor do I question the Lords hand in all things. But that does not stop me from missing the laughter and the smile that Brady once brought into a room. So for any of you that might read this and wonder about what I am doing today, I am smiling for Brady.
