Special Moments

This week has been one of firsts and new beginnings for me. My daughter was just baptized and I have made a new start in my life. I have decided to make writing my full time career and see how that goes. I seem to have a knack for it and I have a good imagination to boot. Maybe I can make a good living on it. Maybe not. But I want to make a good run of this. I know that it helps me to do something more than I was doing. I just want to make a bigger difference in my family.
This next week Donnel will be singing with the Tabernacle Choir for the Christmas Concert with Natalie Cole. Needless to say she will be gone most of the week with rehearsals and performances. For those of you who will watching on TV it will be last years performance with Brian Stokes Mitchel. Both will be fun to see. I am looking forward to this years though. We are going to be really busy. Thankfully we have put up the Christmas tree and the rest of the decorations cann wait a bit. My parents are putting on a party for their friends tomorrow so I need to help out in the morning and early afternoon. Lots of thing are going on and there is little time for the normal chores of life. Have to keep the house clean and the laundry done otherwise things will get out of hand really quick with all the rest of it. Laundry and trash wait for no one. What I feel bad about is that we won't be home as much as I would like. We, like many people today, aren't making this a huge Christmas. We are making a lot of our presents and trying to spend less to get by. My wife heard this quote and I agree: "On the first Christmas, Jesus got only three presents. Three presents should be enough for anyone."
Well I will try to keep everyone updated as the week goes by. Let me know what you all think after reading.
