In my case I have to have list of things I need to get done in a day. Today that list is not as long as some but I have a feeling that it will consume a great majority of my time. My time? That is an interesting concept. If I had my way I would be right now spending that time in my backyard with my hammock and a lemonade watching the clouds roll by. Unfortunately for that wistful thought, there are errands to run, lunches to make, chores to do, and people depending on me. When I was in the Mission Training Center at Provo, Utah years ago I wrote a poem that i have titled "Hope for the Wandering Soul" and today it just seems fitting.
How many miles must I travel?
Where is the path that I seek?
Lord, I am weak from my burdens.
Oh God my outlook seems bleak.
So many times have I stumbled,
my candle blown out by the wind.
So many time You have found me
of Your light freely you lend.
Soon the dark night will be over.
My path with be graces by the Son.
I'll look around at the landscape,
and see I have only begun.
And it's just one more hill to go over.
Just one more crossroads to take.
Just one more day in Thy service.
Because here and now a difference I make.
