Inspiration: Always at the eleventh hour fifty-ninth minute

This drives me nuts... absolutely insane. I have been working on the plot/outline of the second book, as many of you know, for a while now. How come the best ideas come when I am trying to go to sleep! So there I was, lying in bed about to nod off when it comes to me how it all works. ARGHHHHH! I have wasted more paper this past week on failed story lines than I used for the first book! So I get it all down and ready to use in the morning when lo and behold the dialog starts popping into my head. I can't put my pen down for an hour! But beware of rhymes and Dr. Seuss! Because at 'O-dark-thirty' things start to blend and become crazy poetry that sounds good to the sleep deprived mind! When I awoke this morning there were some good snippets there to use, but some of it... well lets just say it will have to be reworked or tossed. All in all I feel better now that I have and outline that works and a little bit of color to flesh it all out. Well it is not too bad. Just that I really need to have better timing, like noon or 2 PM to have my epiphany. Then again who said life or writing books for children is fair? Have a great weekend everyone.
